15 June, 23:59 : Deadline for submission of research outline
Late June: Initial screening of research outlines by Assessment Panel Chairs
July : Result announcement of initial screening
17 August, 23:59 : Deadline for shortlisted teams to submit full research report
Late August : Referee assessment of research reports
September : Result announcement of referee assessment
October & November: Oral defense (plus result announcement) in Hong Kong
December: YHSA Finale in Beijing (Awardees of the Gold and Silver prize will be nominated to join the finale)
TBC: Award Presentation and Science Talk
